FESTIVAL DELLA BELLEZZA 2022 – MYTHS AND TABOOS

The Festival della Bellezza 2022 will take place from 15 June to 25 October. It will host more than 30 events in 20 awesome stages, with Verona’s Roman Theater at the heart and a constellation of equally mythical places, including the Catullo Caves in Sirmione, the Segesta Theater in Sicily, Burri’s Cretto in Gibellina.
The overarching theme “Myths and taboos – People and iconic works between ideas and symbols” will be narrated from different and complimentary perspectives, from the founding myths of the classical ages to contemporary neurosis, from the artistic boundaries of revolutionary painters to the gems of culture between the ‘50s and the ‘80s, with tributes to Pier Paolo Pasolini by Carlo Lucarelli and Dacia Maraini.
Among the artists and thinkers invited to share their interpretations of the theme: Vinicio Capossela, Simone Cristicchi, Federico Rampini, Arianna Porcelli Safonov, Umberto Galimberti, Vittorio Sgarbi, Massimo Cacciari, Guia Soncini, Federico Buffa, Melania Mazzucco, Tullio Solenghi, Marco Ongaro, Morgan and Stefano Massini.
